Plug-and-Play 3D Models for VR-Vantage and VR-Forces

Montreal-based Simthetiq is a leading creator of 3D models and content for VR-Vantage and VR-Forces. Of the thousands of 3D models that ship with the MAK ONE products, many hundreds of them were licensed from Simthetiq, including many of our highest-quality “hero” models - suitable for own-ship and first-person simulation.

Over a fifteen-year partnership, Simthetiq has gained industry-leading expertise in building models that are optimized for the best possible performance and visual impact in VR-Vantage. Simthetiq’s models and “effects textures” can drive VR-Vantage's advanced shader effects – with bump mapping, physically-based rendering (PBR), ambient occlusion, light maps, emissivity, and more. Their models are also built with material classification textures that can drive VR-Vantage's physics-based sensor simulation module, SensorFX – including configuration of active thermal regions around engines, wheels, smokestacks, and the leading edges of wings. Their models conform to DIS-based model-annotation standard that MAK products use to identify articulated parts, switches, and animations. This allows VR-Forces to control lights, doors, turrets, guns, ramps, landing gear, and damage status, on Simthetiq’s models during scenario execution,

When we need a 3D model for a new vehicle or clutter object that’s missing from our libraries, we tend to call Simthetiq first.
