Software Quality Assurance Tester

MAK has an immediate need for a Software Quality Assurance Tester. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic simulation software products and services company. Based in the Alewife area of Cambridge, we have been a leader in our industry for 28 years.
MAK software has been used to develop solutions in the areas of Military Training, Air Traffic Management, Command and Control, and Homeland Security. Thousands of customers worldwide use MAK products, including many of the world's largest defense contractors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Test new and existing product functionality throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and document new tests cases while maintaining legacy tests and test plan.
- Dive into trouble areas and work with the development team to assist in identifying the root cause of problems.
- Work closely with the development team and management to understand and report risk areas to ensure constant product quality.
- Work with other product teams to track cross-team issues and help with resolutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of current computer hardware and latest trends in 3D gaming.
- While most of our products are Windows focused, an ideal candidate will have a working understanding of Linux.
- Ability to work well with a dynamic team to find and isolate problems.
- Must be willing to work onsite three days a week.
- Must be a US Person.
Desired:
- Understanding of Jira
- Military Experience/ Military Simulation Experience.
- Knowledge of VR device use
- Ability to travel several weeks a year.
