We are pros at helping folks link, simulate and visualize virtual worlds in networked synthetic environments. But learning to navigate this new virtual world during COVID has been a unique challenge. With our MAK team, customers, and partners working from home over the past six months, we've focused our energy on developing strategies to keep us all safe and connected, while continuing to help our customers achieve their simulation goals. Here's what we've been up to and what's ahead as we continue the shift to virtual.
Helping our customers work from home
Amplifying our virtual presence
Like many of you, we've embraced connecting with our customers and partners virtually. Part of that has meant leaning into our own homegrown MAK virtual events. For example, back in March when many of the stay-at-home orders came into effect, we kicked off our "Lunch with MAK" series of virtual hangouts as a place for modeling and simulation-oriented folks to connect over lunch several times a week. It proved to be a great way to keep in touch and engage with other humans in a world that experienced a sudden shift away from in-person touchpoints.
You may have also attended our virtual MAK ONE Reveal, where we hosted six different launch sessions across the globe to announce the release of the latest and greatest MAK ONE suite of products. We focused each session on scenarios in different perspectives - air, land, and sea - to showcase the breadth of what’s possible with MAK ONE. Take a look at the reveal sessions if you missed it.
Moving forward, we're taking the best practices from our previous virtual events and kicking off a new series of MAK-grown webinars - MAK Live!, the place to meet and learn from MAK staff and invited guests. Upcoming topics include Scenario Generation using the VR-Forces GUI and Lua Scripting, MAK ONE in the Cloud, the MAK ONE Product Roadmap, Scalability, and much more. Check out our growing list of virtual MAK Live! events where you can join MAK - live - from the comfort of your own home over the next few months. (One great thing about virtual events is that they can be recorded and rewatched! You can catch all our MAK Live! sessions and previous webinars on MAKtv.)
While we miss the opportunity for our usual in-person meetings, we are also taking advantage of the virtual platforms and experiences that industry conferences and tradeshows are launching. Most recently, we spent time connecting with military peers in our virtual NGAUS booth and at the AFWERX virtual showcase. We're looking forward to joining upcoming industry events virtually including NATO Virtual CA2x2 Forum, AUVSI's Xponential Conference, and of course, vIITSEC.
Delivering real success, virtually
Yes, the world is surely changing, but our 30 years as a leader in the modeling and simulation business has set us up to find and deliver success as we harness the power of going virtual.
