MAKer Spotlight: Shannon Craig, Account Manager

We're excited to introduce to you Shannon Craig, a MAKer who started out as a MAK Engineer and recently joined the MAK Sales team as an Account Manager for North American Sales. From partnering with customers as they evaluate MAK products, to assisting them with software maintenance, to being their day-to-day support person, Shannon leverages his technical expertise to make sure our customers find the right MAK solutions to meet their simulation needs.

After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Computer Science, Shannon was introduced to the simulation industry during an internship with the Carley Corporation. He continued in the industry, working the next 10 years on maintenance training solutions for Lockheed Martin and automation technology for the private sector.

He was excited to join the MAK team to apply the skills learned at Lockheed to MAK's Synthetic Training Environment (STE) program, specifically implementing an automated testing and integration framework. In addition to MAK's great teammates, Shannon has enjoyed learning about and working with MAK products; he values the compatibility and compartmentalization of the MAK architecture among MAK products and other products — true interoperability and flexibility can be hard to find, but not at MAK!

Outside of the office, Shannon and his wife, Ashley, are jet setters who love to travel and, when at home, hang out with friends and their two dogs, Nicki and Renny. A self-proclaimed "gigantic nerd", he fills his days with video games, board games, and Dungeons & Dragons. And something he loves to do with his family every year is to get together to make wine. ("We do not actually stomp grapes barefooted, however!" Shannon insists.)
