MAKer Spotlight: Ricardo Colon, Manager of Customer Training

Meet MAK's Ricardo Colon, Manager of Customer Training

Meet Ricardo Colon, MAK's manager of customer training. He's the guy you'll work with when you request a training course for our technology, and he makes sure you get exactly what you need to go above and beyond with MAK products. He just finished delivering a training course for our international distributors, and is soon kicking off our first customer training course of 2021! (If you're intrigued by the idea of a customized training for your company, reach out! We're excited to get you connected with Ricardo and team.)

Ricardo went to school for computer animation and since graduating, Ricardo has spent 15 years in the modeling and simulation industry. His first role was as a 3D modeler for a subcontractor for the U.S. Department of Defense, and he has also worked with Bohemia Interactive as the product owner for online training courses. We're so glad he joined the MAK family last year as part of the STE (Synthetic Training Environment) program for the U.S. Army. Ricardo is excited to be part of a team that won and delivered on such a huge contract with important implications for the future. He wanted to be where the action was, and he's here!

Pre-COVID, Ricardo was a frequent world traveler, with visits to 19 countries under his belt — his favorite country was Italy by a very narrow margin! He also loves having family and friends over and hosting's been about a year since he and his wife of 13 years, Elaine, have been able to do that, but they're looking forward to (hopefully) returning to normalcy soon. In the meantime, Ricardo is an avid reader and keeps a keen eye on the stock market.

We are glad to have Ricardo in our MAK family, and we hope this spotlight piques your interest in our MAK team. Stay tuned for more MAKer spotlights!
