MAKer Spotlight: Chris Davenport, Content Manager

The upcoming Fall 2021 Release of MAK ONE comes with tons of great new content, from Stryker ICVs to the F-22 Raptor. Chris Davenport, our Content Manager at MAK, is one of the MAKers responsible for that content; he spends his time overseeing the 3D models and integrating them into VR-Forces so that they look amazing and work flawlessly for our customers.

Prior to MAK, Chris graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Digital Media, specializing in Game Design. After graduating, he interned with Rockwell Collins and then worked with Leidos, where he developed expertise creating new 3D models for the Navy and Marines.

Chris values working at MAK because his role of content manager allows him to get his hands into all aspects of modeling and programming, from start to finish. As opposed to just creating 3D models and sending them off to someone else to integrate into the final product, he gets to put all the pieces together and makes sure that all content works seamlessly in VR-Forces.

It goes without saying that outside of work, Chris is super into video games. Beyond that, he loves living the Florida lifestyle with his girlfriend, and being close to his parents and siblings. Born and raised in Orlando, Chris heads to the beach as often as possible, and he also spends as much time at Universal and Disney World as he can. (During college, Chris worked at Animal Kingdom for three years in Dino Land - yes, it's super hot during the summer in Orlando, but fun to dress up and be one of the cast members that people go to visit.)

We hope this spotlight piqued your interest in getting to know the MAK team. Stay tuned for more!
