Software Engineer (3D Graphics)

Software Engineer (3D Graphics) — sought by MAK Technologies, Inc., developers of software to link, simulate and visualize the virtual world, to assist in designing, building, debugging and maintaining VR-Vantage and other real-time 3D products. Provide support and consulting to VR-Vantage users over phone and email. Represent MAK Technologies at partner or client sites, standards organizations and conferences. Understand requirements used to design and implement product features in the high-performance 3D visual system. Utilize C++ to develop software. Use OpenGL GLSL to implement and develop cutting edge shader code for advanced 3D scenes. Participate in collaborative design sessions.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science and Technology or related field and one year of work experience in the job offered or related field of 3D Graphics Engineering or in the alternative, a Master’s degree or equivalent and no work experience.

  • If qualifying by Bachelor’s degree, must have at least one year of experience with OpenGL; modern graphics (GPU) pipelines and techniques, including PBR and other global illumination strategies; one-year experience using shader languages (i.e. GLSL, Cg or HLSL); One year of Object Oriented Design inC++, and a strong mathematics background particularly in regards to matrix manipulation.

  • If qualifying by Master’s degree, studies must include Advanced Computer Graphics; Animation; Advanced Mathematics pertinent to 3D graphics (such as Matrix Math) or Real-Time Rendering; as well as studies in Object Oriented Design using the C++ language.
