BD / Capture Manager

VT MAK - Orlando, FL

VT MAK is looking for a Business Development / Capture Manager to work with our elite sales team in Research Park, Orlando, FL. He or she will help define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, lead proposal efforts, negotiates and closes business, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Significant travel (50%) is required.


• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 20+ years of relevant experience
• Display strong sales presence
• Excellent skills in the following areas: written / verbal communication in English, presentation, organizational, time management, and team-building
• Demonstrated results in facilitating sustainable business growth models
• Initiated partnerships and teaming relationships for competitive pursuits
• Led Capture Team(s) on full and open competitive awards with the DOD
• Led and / or supported proposal efforts for DOD contracts
• Knowledge of the DOD acquisition process and sufficient technical background to verify and shape capture strategies (Line of Business and company level)
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Defense contractor or military experience preferred
• Due to ITAR restrictions, all candidates must be a “US Person” as defined in 22 CFR § 120.15 (i.e. US citizen, US national, legal permanent resident, asylee, or refugee)
