DARWARS

VT MÄK worked with DARPA to develop a future training environment as a participant in the DARWARS architecture development program. The goal of DARWARS was to ensure that trainees have more "experiential learning" opportunities by combining a unified infrastructure with the world’s most advanced computerized training and simulation systems. DARWARS training systems, together with the technology platform and training community, aims to revolutionize training by giving individuals and groups real practice across a wide range of skills, creating opportunities to exercise critical decision making skills in an environment where it’s safe to learn from mistakes, and allowing appropriate training to be available instantly to anyone, anywhere, anytime. DARWARS was designed to minimize disruptions to existing training systems and methods. Instead, the goal of this web-based training environment is to amplify the effectiveness of existing training systems while enabling new, previously unavailable training opportunities.
