Software Customization
Most VT MÄK applications include APIs or full SDKs that allow you to customize all aspects of our applications. We pride ourselves on the simplicity of our APIs and the support we provide to help you use them. In addition to providing easy-to-use APIs, MÄK understands that there may be cases where it is not a good use of your development resources to learn the APIs and do the work yourself. MÄK stands ready to help you customize our software through our software customization service.
GUI Tailoring
Creating a good user interface requires an understanding of the GUI API and GUI SDK. It also requires an understanding of principles of good UI design. We have both. If you need to extend or even replace the GUI for a MÄK application, we can help. Examples of GUI tailoring include embedding the functionality of the MÄK Data Logger into other applications, embedding 2D and 3D views into applications using the VR-Vantage Toolkit, and adding menus and menu commands to VR-Forces or VR-Vantage.
Product Feature Enhancements
Think that our product suite would be perfect for your program if only one of our products had an additional feature or two? Then contact us - we're happy to talk about adding new features to our products! We provide feature enhancement services at our standard commercial rates. Frequently the new feature or function will then be rolled into the product, so support for it will be included with a product standard maintenance policy.
Ports to New Hardware/Software Platforms
MÄK releases software for the most commonly used hardware, operating systems, and compilers. If you need to run our applications on systems that we do not support, we can port our software to them. This might mean porting to a different flavor of Linux or UNIX, a dedicated hardware platform, or perhaps even a less conventional environment. For example for I/ITSEC 2010, we ran a VR-Link app on an iPad.
