Videos
One of the best ways to understand the capabilities of our software is to watch a live demonstration. The second best way may be to watch a video. So, we hope you’ll enjoy these short video presentations and give us a call to arrange for a demonstration.
Some of our videos present projects, or use cases, to show how MÄK’s COTS and partner software along with our simulation services can help you solve simulation problems. Others spotlight the capabilities of our products. And we tossed in a few fun videos to give you a glimpse of MÄK’s company culture. The video categories are product spotlights, use cases, and company culture. Enjoy.

To celebrate the launch of VR-TheWorld 2.0, MÄK’s terrain server, we are offering a special bundle with our premium battlefield visualization software,VR-Vantage. Simply purchase a VR-TheWorld server and you’ll get either 2 licenses of VR-Vantage XR, our augmented 3D viewer, or 1 VR-Vantage development environment for free.

Check out the streaming feature capabilities of VR-The World and VR-Vantage by flying over Hawaii in a helicopter! VR-Vantage applications (like VR-Vantage Stealth or VR-Vantage IG) can now stream in point, linear, and areal features from a compliant terrain server using the open standard Web Feature Service (WFS) protocol, and use those features to generate textured 3D geometry on-the-fly at run-time. To demonstrate the new capabilities, we’ve collected readily available source data for the Hawaiian island of Oahu, put this data on our VR-TheWorld Online server. Combined with our existing support for streaming elevation and imagery, these new capabilities allow you to very quickly visualize 3D environments that are both global in scale, and visually rich.

VT MÄK presents simulated video as a solution for challenging experimentation and training situations for unmanned sensors. Remote sensors, UAVs, and UVSs are an essential resource in how our military fights and how we protect our critical assets and borders. Using MÄK's line of products you can rapidly produce realistic training environments and duplicate the sensor feed, complete with accurate metadata, for any number of sensors.

VR-Forces, MAK's Computer Generated Forces solution, is terrain agile. That means that you match the style of the terrain you use, to your specific simulation requirements. This video shows how easy it is to load and simulate on four different types of terrain, including Open Standards Streaming Terrain.
06:07
Have you ever marveled at how web-based mapping tools and "virtual globe" applications effortlessly stream terrain data from a remote server as you move about the world? Don't you wish it was that easy to get terrain information into your Modeling & Simulation applications? Now, it can be!

A brief history of the evolution of the RTI's rtiexec GUI and how it is designed to improve reliability
10:32
This video shows how the MÄK RTI manages connections
10:15
A demonstration of the MÄK interoperability portal, a tool that bridges the High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocols. Out of the box support includes HLA 1.3, HLA 1516, DIS (v 4 5 6) and TENA (5.2)

Use Cases
04:35
In addition to bringing you the leading individual networking, simulation and visualization products, as illustrated by this ISR Lab demonstration, MÄK also brings together the best technologies in the industry to help you integrate a winning simulation solution.
03:20
Integrated and distributed Modeling & Simulation environment to design and validate NextGen Air Traffic Management (ATM) concepts and systems.

VR-Forces has a great new Graphical User Interface. It combines the best of 2D Tactical displays with 3D Stealth views and exaggerated reality views to give you the best scenario creation and simulation experience. This video shows these capabilities in the context of an Instructor Operator Station (IOS).
02:05
Demonstration of a homeland security training exercise using MAK products.

This is a demonstration of MÄK's Battle Command staff tactics trainer interoperating with the
CB Simulation Suite software by ITT Information Systems The CB Sim Suite is software which provides performance-based simulation of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear hazard environments, CBR sensors and tactical messaging, and exposure/toxicity and effects in support of RDT&E, training, and exercises.

This Security Trainer uses Christie MicroTiles to display six channels of video rendered with VR-Vantage IG. The operator chooses from the thirteen cameras located throughout the town created by Visualize Modeling. VR-Link was ported to run on the iPad so an iPad application can allow the operator to remotely control any of the six chosen cameras by sending pan and zoom controls to VR-Vantage IG. Check out the demonstration given at I/ITSEC 2010.

Commanders and their staff need a realistic operations center environment combined with appropriate scenario-driven decision making opportunities to generate "experiential learning".
Company Culture
00:31
With two decades helping customers deliver simulation systems, MAK Technologies ...is now... VT MAK.
Leveraging our strong foundation of COTS software products, and custom developed system components, together we build and populate compelling 3D simulated environments, in which to prototype, experiment, and analyze; to demonstrate, plan, and train.
03:10
At every I/ITSEC, VT MÄK hosts a special "Chowdah Fest" event. For the past 12 years, we have shipped upwards of 90 gallons of New England clam chowder from Legal Sea Foods Boston to Orlando. In 2010 the event theme was “MÄK Band”. Here we see some MÄK staff members, including senior team members, grooving along. Enjoy.
Then give us a call and we can have a serious discussion about how MAK can help you build and populate compelling 3D simulated environments so you can successfully deliver your simulation systems.
