MÄK TECHNOLOGIES ADDS TENA SUPPORT TO INTEROPERABILITY PRODUCTS
TENA Architecture Support Now Available in VR-Link and VR-Exchange
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., October 19, 2006 ―MÄK Technologies, the world’s leading supplier of distributed simulation software, has added support for TENA (Test and Training ENabling Architecture) to VR-Link and VR-Exchange. TENA is an interoperability architecture developed for the Live Range community.
VR-Link, MÄK’s best-selling interoperability toolkit, now offers a TENA add-on module. The module allows VR-Link to support TENA through the same Application Programmer’s Interface that is used for DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) and HLA (High Level Architecture). This means that many existing applications built with VR-Link can add native TENA support merely by recompiling and linking against the TENA version of the VR-Link libraries.
VR-Exchange, MÄK’s universal translator for distributed simulation, now also offers TENA support. VR-Exchange links together different protocols, Run Time Infrastructures, and Object Models using a protocol-independent Data Exchange and Brokers for various protocols. A new TENA Broker is included with the latest release allowing interoperability between HLA and TENA, and translation between different TENA LROMs (Logical Range Object Models).
