VT MÄK RECEIVES STOC II TRAINING CONTRACT FROM US ARMY

Cambridge, Mass., July 28, 2009 ― VT MÄK (MÄK), a company of VT Systems Inc (VT Systems), today announced that it has received the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation’s (PEO STRI) Omnibus Contract, known as STOC II.

STOC II is a set of multiple-award IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) contracts to provide simulation, training and instrumentation products and services for the Warfighter. Serving as an efficient contracting vehicle, STOC II gets simulation and training products and services to US and coalition service members.

The proposals were evaluated in two categories ― the Full and Open Lot and the Partial Small Business Set Aside Lot. Company proposals were evaluated based on four main factors ― its past performance, management, small business participation plan (applicable only to the large companies in the Full and Open Lot) and price. MÄK has won in both the Full and Open Lot and the Small Business Set-Aside Lot.

Brian Murphy, the PEO STRI contracting officer responsible for STOC II, explained in a press release announcing the award that “The overall purpose of STOC II is to have highly-qualified contractors on-hand to rapidly satisfy the needs of our nation’s Warfighters”.

“We’re delighted to have been selected by PEO STRI as one of the awardees for STOC II. We are honored that STRI has chosen to reach out to MÄK, a Non-traditional vendor, to provide our unique value to the Warfighter via our COTS simulation products and project services. We intend to prove ourselves worthy of the confidence STRI has placed in us.”
