ISR Concept Development

Developers of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems, contend with a complex overlap of factors.

VT MÄK offers simulation technology to control some of the variables.

Use Case: Your team is tasked with developing a new operational ISR system concept. You are faced with defining the system architecture within which the concepts operates. You might envision the use of any combination of existing or theoretical UVS systems, sensor systems, tracking systems, moving imagery analysis algorithms, and communication systems. You may have to deal with the human factors issues that overload your operator’s with information. In short, you have to develop an operational concept within a very complex system.

This is where modeling & simulation plays a significant role by allowing you to create the envisioned system and run it through its paces.

VT MÄK provides a simulation of the place, the population, and the pictures:

  • Place – Model of the 3D physical environment (terrain, buildings, vegetation, etc) MÄK’s Simulation and Visualization applications are terrain agile, which means that they can load the gamut of Modeling and Simulation terrain formats. We also offer VR-TheWorld Server – a streaming terrain server that comes loaded with a world of data and a web-based GUI so you can add your place specific terrain data.
  • Population – Simulation of the patterns of life within the population who occupy the place. This includes land, air, and sea vehicle simulations and simulations of individual human characters. Our VR-Forces simulation framework is designed to be flexible so that you can augment the simulation with models of your specific vehicles or just use it out of the box to provide your background population.
  • Pictures – Streaming Video feeds from your envisioned sensors, be they carried on unmanned vehicle systems or fixed in predetermined locations. The sensor video produced by simulated sensors, using VR-Vantage IG, can be encoded and transmitted according to streaming video standards like MISB into your real, or prototype, communications networks, directly to your control stations, or through standard computer video signals to your analysis algorithms or workstation monitors.

Our goal at VT MÄK is to minimize the effort you have to put into creating the place, population, and pictures so you can focus on developing your system concepts.
