The fundamental nature of warfare is becoming more personal. Soldiers operating in urban areas are expected to fill the roles of combatant, counter-insurgent, and peace-keeper. The Warfighter must operate in close proximity to coalition forces, non-governmental organizations and native populations. It’s often difficult to tell the difference between the friendly, the merely angry, and the dangerously hostile. Realistic urban simulations must include realistic human activity to effectively model the challenges of urban warfare.
MÄK has recently integrated DI-Guy human characters into both the VR-Forces simulation toolkit and the MÄK Stealth 3D viewer. Now it’s easier to populate your scenes with human characters and to integrate simulation specific human activity into your simulations. Using the VR-Forces 3D GUI, users can select characters to add to their scenario and assign those characters realistic animations that model human behavior. These characters and actions can be displayed in 3D in the MÄK Stealth.
At this webinar Dan Brockway, our Director of Technical Marketing, will show you how to populate a simulated world where human and animal characters dominate the scene. He will demonstrate techniques for setting the appearance of human characters and tasking them to behave according to plans defined in the scenario and to automatically react to their surroundings.
Bill Blank, DI-Guy’s Product Manage will be available to answer questions on the many ways human characters can be used out-of-the-box in VR-Forces and MÄK Stealth, and how the DI-Guy and VR-Forces toolkits can be used to create new characters, add motions and appearances to existing characters, and integrate human characters into your simulations.
Join us on Tuesday, October 21 to see how you can increase the value of your simulation environment by including human characters into your virtual world. We offer two times for your convenience.
Can’t make the webinar? If you can’t join us, you can still learn what it’s all about. Just register through one of the links below. Registrants have access to a recorded replay of the session the day after the event.
