VT MÄK is a leader in producing software tools for distributed simulation. We create tools and toolkits for distributed simulations, develop PC-based military tactical trainers, craft custom solutions, and research and develop the latest simulation technologies.
We do this in a casual workspace, with an environment that enhances both creativity and productivity. We are rapidly growing our engineering and operations staff. We have a talented collection of developers, drawn from many disciplines with degrees in EE, Mech. E., Chem. E., Aero/Astro, Physics as well as CS. What we have in common is the interest and desire to build sophisticated models and simulations of the real physical world in real time. We are seeking to fill a number of different positions including:
Senior Accountant, Business Systems Analyst, C++ Software Engineer, 3D Graphics Software Engineer and Services & Solutions Engineer.
U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions.
Senior Accountant
Major responsibilities include project accounting, reporting, and project information systems; supporting the Controller in monthly closing, audits and corporate reporting activities; and accounts receivable.
Other responsibilities include establishing policies and procedures, providing project administration services to Engineering, contract reporting, and deliverables administration.
Qualifications:
- 5 years accounting experience with significant focus on project accounting
- strong general ledger background
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Knowledge of government contracting/accounting is a plus.
Business Systems Analyst
Major responsibilities include management and administration of company’s business systems including ERP and CRM, and analysis, implementation and management of future business system needs as required by Engineering, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Administration.
Other responsibilities include database administration, query writing, report generation, end-user training and documentation.
Requirements include 8 years experience as a Business Analyst with minimum 4 years experience with ERP and CRM systems. Additionally, working knowledge of SQL, XML and .NET is highly desirable.
C++ Software Engineer
This is a software development position, helping us design, build, and maintain our distributed simulation software tools. The person fulfilling this position will be involved in understanding client requirements, designing and implementing product or project features, and supporting clients. In addition, our developers often represent us at client or partner sites, standards organizations, and conferences.
Background in one or more of the following is a plus:
- HLA (High Level Architecture) or similar networking architectures
- System architecture for distributed games or military simulations
- Interacting with customers
- Real-time or event-based simulation
- Vehicle dynamics or physics-based simulation
- Applied artificial intelligence
- Design and support of commercial C++ Software Development Kits
- Qt-based GUI development
- Defense contractor or military experience
Qualifications
- Strong object-oriented design skills
- 5+ years experience with C++
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to obtain a security clearance is required. A willingness to travel is desired.
3D Graphics Software Engineer
An engineer in this software development position will help us design and build our 3D visualization software for distributed simulations. The person filling this role will be involved in understanding customer requirements, planning product definition and direction, responding to product-related support issues, and representing us at customer or partner sites, standards organizations, and conferences.
Experience with one or more of the following is required:
- Application development with 3D graphics APIs (OpenGL, Open Scene Graph, MPI Vega Prime, etc.)
- Hardware-accelerated rendering pipelines and GPU shader languages
- HLA (High Level Architecture) or similar networking architectures
- System architecture for real-time, distributed military simulation
- Interacting with customers
- Supporting commercial C++ Software Development Kits
Qualifications
- Strong object-oriented design skills
- 5+ years experience with C++
- 5+ years experience with 3D graphics applications
Services & Solutions Engineer
This is a software development position integrating our distributed simulation software with 3rd party content to create and support training and operational systems for our worldwide clients. Working under the guidance of a senior solution architect, this position will require an understanding customer requirements, an ability to help define appropriate solutions, the and technical skills to implement the solutions. Applicants must be prepared to represent the company at customer sites.
Background in one or more of the following is a plus:
- HLA (High Level Architecture) or similar networking architectures System architecture for distributed games or military simulations
- Interacting with customers
- Real-time or event-based simulation
- Real-time operational systems
- Usage of commercial C++ Software Development Kits
- Defense contractor or military experience
Qualifications
- Strong object-oriented design skills
- 5+ years experience with C++
- Good verbal and written communication skills
