Like all material on the VT MÄK Bonus page, the MATREX FOM Mapper is free for you to download, but is not supported by MÄK.

The MATREX FOM Mapper includes source code and pre-complied binaries for Windows. You may freely use the source code as you wish. You may create derivative works including commercial products for resale and further distribution.

VT MÄK will not support any of the applications or source code distributed in this package. Applications and source code are provided AS IS with no warranty or maintenance whatsoever. By downloading and using this software, you are agreeing that VT MÄK will be held harmless for any defects found in any package downloaded from this site. Users are encouraged to report defects to MÄK support, however MÄK undertakes no obligation to act on those reports.

Can I download the code and use it in a commercial product?

Yes, but it only works with a commercial product built on VR-Link.

Can I redistribute the source code once I have modified it?

Yes

Do I need to have VR-Link?

You will need a copy of VR-Link if you wish to modify the FOM Mapper in any way. We do ship a pre-built DLL for windows, which you can use without VR-Link.

What if I find a bug in the source code, will you fix it?

No. However, we would be happy if you reported it. Please remember that the download package comes without support or maintenance. If you want us to fix it, we can do that, but only under an Engineering Service contract.

How do I open an Engineering Services contract?

This package requires a VR-Link or RTI license, are these products free too?

No, you should contact MÄK sales to purchase the required licenses for supported MÄK derivatives like VR-Link or the RTI.

I have a VR-Link or RTI support contract, this download is built on VR-Link, will you support it now?

We will help you with any defects VR-Link or the MÄK RTI, since these are supported commercial products. However, if the defect is in the FOM Mapper, we will not be able to help you without an Engineering Service contract.

This download is built against an old version of VR-Link, will you provide an updated download to the most recent version?

Probably not. However, from time to time at MAK's discretion we may decided to provide upgrades. If you require the download built against a newer version of a MAK product you will need to open an Engineering Services contract.

Is there a 64 bit version of this product?

Not at this time.

Can you help us port to a new/different compiler?

Probably not. However, as long as you have a VR-Link install on the target platform, rebuilding should be trivial.
