AGI_logo

Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI) develops physics-based software that computes and depicts the relationships among moving objects over time. Space, defense and intelligence community professionals use it to model, simulate and operate Earth- and space-based systems. The software can be purchased as ready-to-use applications or development tools with flexible pricing and licensing options.

SimMetrics

SimMetrics is a desktop application that helps increase the fidelity of distributed simulations by adding real-time analysis to battlefield simulations, through the DIS and HLA protocols. SimMetrics makes simulations more representative of the real world by modeling critical assets that are often overlooked in simulations.

Specifically, SimMetrics helps users understand how electronic interference, position, terrain, and time of day affect the navigational accuracy of autonomous vehicles by modeling GPS satellites and receivers. It calculates navigational accuracy and dilution of precision and displays both graphically and numerically. SimMetrics also helps users understand sensor coverage and target detection. It tracks how long targets are within the sensor coverage and presents data indicating where and when targets are covered and not covered.

DSim

Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI) has developed the Distributed Simulation (DSim) Extension for STK. DSim uses MÄK’s VR-Link® [link to Products > Simulation Interoperability & Infrastructure > HLA-DIS Simulation Networking] toolkit to make an IEEE-compliant DIS and HLA interface for STK.

Using space-based platforms as a tactical high ground for planning and conducting military, civil, and commercial operations has changed the virtual landscape for the modeling and simulation community. AGI’s Distributed Simulation technology supports the need to model the space component while providing mission critical analysis for all entities in an M&S environment.

DSim integrates M&S tools with AGI technology’s high-fidelity modeling and analysis capabilities. The interface allows users to model land, sea, air, space, and missile platforms for incorporation into M&S, training, and wargaming tools, while offering the ability to port M&S data feeds into STK for analyses including:

  • Line-of-sight access between objects
  • Communications links
  • Sensor coverage with terrain, weather, lighting, and body obscuration constraints
  • Navigation accuracy and jammer modeling
  • Enhanced situational awareness of thousands of object tracks
